Besides an awesomely run event, an awesome course and the knowledge of knowing you’re helping to support a non-profit that’s mission is to help people be active and healthy in the outdoors, the first 400 runners to register will receive a Turkey Day Trail Trot custom pint glass, cold cider or hot cider to put in the glass after the event, post race organic fruit from including apples, pears and citrus all with standard beverages, prizes and race bib chip timing. Note: Due to the post race

Refund/Cancellation/Exchanges/Bib Exchanges/Ghost Runners Policies

There are no refunds.  Distance exchanges can be made along with a $10 fee up to one week prior to the event.  After this time there are no distance changes. You must run with your own bib. Allowing someone else to run with your number is not allowed. If discovered the runner will be disqualified.  No ghost runners.  We put on an event for those who desire to participate.  Ghost runners will be asked to leave.

Pre-Race Bib Pickup

How convenient! Bib pick up the day of the event! Bib pickup will be available starting at 6:40am in the Battle Creek Rec Center at the registration table.  Bib’s will include safety pins and chip timing on the back of the bib.

If you are registered as part of a 3 person Team Run you will each need to pick up your bibs separately and sign waivers.

Race Day

  • 6:40am: Day of Registration and Bib Pickup opens at Battle Creek Rec Center in the Small Gym
  • 7:40am: Day of Registration for 10k, 5k and 3x5k Team Run and Bib Pickup CLOSES!
  • 7:50am: Race Announcements @ Starting Line
  • 8:00am: Race Start 10k, 5k and 3x5k Team Run* @ Battle Creek East Trails
    • The Adult Races will take place at Battle Creek East, see Event Map for event locations and times
  • 9:10am: Day of Registration and Bib Pick Up for 1k Kids Fun Run Closes.
  • 9:30am: 1k Kids Fun Run @ Battle Creek Rec Center
    • The Kids Fun Run will take place at the Battle Creek Rec Center
    • This way kids and families can watch their loved ones run, then go to the Rec Center to warm up and get ready for their event, which will start and finish just outside the doors of the Rec Center
  • 10:00am: Awards, Post Race Food and Drink @ Rec Center & Course Closes
    • The awards and post race festivities will take place in the small gym back at the Rec Center

Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners of the 5k, 10k and 3x5k as well as the top three from the following ages groups:

3x5k Team Run

Endurance United is proud to introduce a new event: the Team Run. Unlike a relay all members of the team start together and run the course simultaneously. This way you can support your team members while running with them. Team time will be the sum of the times of all three members.

Each event in the Urban Trail Series has a course chosen specifically for it. Our courses are true to each event and this course is no different. Battle Creek Park is a premiere park for running and specifically trail running. This course was chosen to limit hills and yet provide a challenge, it remains on wide cared for hiking trails and goes through oak groves and prairies, all within the 5k loop. This event course will nourish your body and soul with the great outdoors this Thanksgiving. Do NOT miss out, register today!

The 10k, 5k and 3×5 Team Run will make use of a 5 kilometer course. There will be mile markers 1, 2 and 3 on the course. Direction markings will be a mix of pin flags at trail intersections and 3′ high stakes with ribbons marking important turns and trail separations.

The 5k will complete the course once, the 10k will complete the course twice and the 3x5k Team runners will start together and will all complete the course once.

Weather can be variable in Minnesota so come prepared.  Always bring extra layers.  We will still hold the race during rain but will cancel for lightning or other severe weather.


On street parking is available around the Battle Creek Rec Center and in the Rec Center parking lot.  Please be courteous to our neighbors.
