Endurance United is excited to announce that Liz Peterson has accepted the position of Junior Team Head Coach/Programming Director. She will be joining EU full time on June 1st.

Liz is an accomplished skier, graduating from Forest Lake High School and eventually the College of Saint Scholastica where she received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology. She is completing her term as Assistant Nordic Coach at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. While coaching for the Saints, Liz pursued a masters degree in Educational Leadership.

Liz has is a familiar face at Endurance United, having coached the junior team over the past two summers.

"I have known Liz since 2005, when we both did our summer training under Forest Lake Head Coach Deno Johnson. Liz has always been a focused athlete and coach with a passion for the sport. It's been fun to watch Liz develop into a strong coach and we are so glad to see her come back to Minnesota and Endurance United." -Andrew Poffenberger, EU Executive Director

Departing EU Head Coach Jake Morgan is also a former teammate of Liz, skiing together at St. Scholastica. As Liz joins us for the summer, Jake will stay on to help with coaching and the on boarding of Liz. The strong friendship between the two and similar coaching philosophies will lend themselves to a smooth transition.

"We were fortunate to receive applications from some very qualified candidates. They were some very dedicated and accomplished cross-country skiers. Liz Peterson comes to us already knowing our program and has the credentials to help develop our up and coming skiers. We are confident that she can come in and fill the role that Jake Morgan has played for us. We will miss Jake as he starts law school. We look forward to having Liz start working for us." -John Baker, Vice President EU Board

Once again, Endurance United is very excited to have Liz join us. Stay tuned for a welcome party announcement and invitation.
