20 minutes set up and take down
30/40 minutes technique
30/40 minutes games and paddling practicing the skills we learned earlier
Monday Sessions: Stand-up Paddle board (SUP) Focus, however the class may shift to a canoe or kayak focus if water conditions aren’t supportive of a successful evening on SUPs (e.g., water temperatures, wind, etc) at the head coach’s discretion.
Wednesday Sessions: Canoe, kayak and/or SUP
$175 for one night per week or $350 for two nights per week for the 8-week season. Includes coaching, boats, paddles and entry into the Long Lake Lap race (June 27). Long Lake Lap coupon code will be provided by your coach.

Adult canoe racing
Adults Age 18+
8 sessions: May 19 - July 7, Tuesday evenings 6:00-8:00pm at Long Lake Regional Park (New Brighton, MN)
Makeup date for one weather cancellation will be held Tuesday, July 15.
Objective: To coach and educate canoe racers already having a familiarity with being in a canoe and some basic understanding of stability as pro boats are intended to be used from the start. More stable canoes are available and will be used, as appropriate. As the course progresses, participants will become more comfortable and skilled in their canoe-racing abilities. Depending on the experience of the paddlers, the group may be split with the more advanced paddlers focusing on fitness and strategy before coming back together with the full class for the group paddle/mini-races at the end of each class.
Each session will last ~120 minutes. This will be broken up as approximately:
20 minutes – equipment set-up, dry-land overview, equipment return.
40 minutes – focus on technique/skills/drills and/or fitness/strategy
60 minutes – Paddling around Long Lake and applying what we have discussed/learned.
