Job Title: EU Youth Nordic Head Coach (primary focus is EU Skiwerx)
Job Status: Part-Time, 20 hours per week (approximate hours, will vary based on season), salary range $18,000-$20,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Evenings and weekends are required.
Description: The EU Youth Head Coach is responsible for the curriculum, organization, and lead coaching role for the EU Skiwerx program. This program is subject to change based upon season (i.e. spring, summer, fall, winter). The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong passion for Nordic skiing and a keen interest in coaching youth to excel and meet their personal goals in the sport. Opportunity to further coaching education as desired.
Write an age-appropriate EU Skiwerx curriculum annually including detailed weekly practice plans: summer, fall & winter
Create practice schedule for summer, fall & winter
Collaborate with Program Director to establish goals and achievement plan for EU Skiwerx program
Manage day-to-day operations of EU Skiwerx program
Communicate day-to-day information with athletes and their parents regarding all elements of the program including a weekly email to parents and coaches
Communicate with MyXC Executive Director to maintain strong partnership
Hold appropriate information meetings for athletes, parents, and coaches
Attend SELECT MyXC Wednesday night sprints: 3 before the Birkie
Coordinate athlete attendance & provide race support at SELECT youth races annually (Pre-Loppet, local Youth Cups, City of Lakes Loppet & Junior Birkie)
Help recruit program coaches and foster their development
Maintain rollerski inventory
Maintain race suit inventory (in collaboration with Junior Head Coach)
Cultivate and nurture a sense of teamwork and belonging
Create, share, and update EU Skiwerx handbook annually
Plan & execute end of season Skiwerx parties (summer beach party & winter party)
Actively promote Endurance United, both the organization as a whole as well as the individual programs
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching youth desired
Adhere to all Endurance United policies and procedures
Demonstrated proficiency in classic and skate Nordic ski techniques and rollerskiing
Strong written and oral communication skills
US Ski and Snowboard Coach Membership and Level 100 Certification required (within 3 months of being hired)
Background screening

Job Title: Nordic Program Director and Junior Team Head Coach
Job Status: Full-Time. Salary range $40,000-$50,000 based on experience and qualifications.
Evenings and weekends required.
Description:
The Nordic Program Director and Junior Team Head Coach is responsible for design, management, and oversight of all Nordic ski programming – and all aspects of each of these programs – with a particular emphasis on the Junior Nordic Ski Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Develop yearly plans for all Nordic ski programs. (Adults, Juniors, and Youth).
● Develop and maintain curriculum for Juniors and, at minimum, provide input on curriculum requirements for Youth and Adult programs.
● Oversee, recruit, manage coaches and daily operations for all Nordic ski programs.
● Communicate with all participants and parents for all Nordic ski programs. Write weekly communication for adult participants and/or junior parents of Nordic ski programs.
● Develop pathways to Junior Team Program membership with emphasis on retention from the Endurance United Youth program and east metro High Schools.
● Grow and maintain a core group of year-round Junior D-Team athletes.
● Represent Endurance United as member of CXC Midwest Junior Committee. Attend CXC spring Congress.
● Plan on attending Midwest spring championship trip to represent Endurance United.. (U16, U18 or Junior Nationals)
● Maintain US Ski and Snowboard continuing education credits.
● Travel to all Junior National Qualifiers with the Junior Nordic Team o Provide coaching, waxing, and logistical support for all athletes and families.
● Develop the schedule and lead all coaching sessions with Junior Nordic Team athletes (est. 5+ sessions/week).
● Attend all Junior Nordic Team camps in appropriate seasons. Coordinate logistics for all camps (food, lodging, transportation, training locations, etc.)
o Keep parents and athletes informed on all updates and changes regarding camps.
o Coordinate with other coaches who will assist with camps
● Provide marketing and promotional content centered on Junior Nordic Team.
● Work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to best serve members of Endurance United.
● Actively promote Endurance United, both the organization as a whole as well as the individual programs.
● Keep in contact with the Nordic Ski community including MN High School coaches and CCSA coaches.
● Assist with events when able and coordinate Junior Team to help volunteer at select EU events, up to 4 events per year.
● Complete and maintain SafeSport training and refresher courses as required.
Qualifications:
● Prior experience coaching Junior athletes.
● Adhere to all Endurance United policies and procedures
● Demonstrated proficiency in classic and skate Nordic ski techniques and rollerskiing.
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● US Ski and Snowboard Coach Membership. Level 100 Certification required. Pursuit of Level 200 certification in first year of employment.
● Valid Driver's license.
● Ability to lift 50lbs.
● Background screening.
