Description: Are you new to mountain biking skills training? Would you like to build confidence on the trail? This class will take you through the BICP L1 beginning fundamentals from bike-body position, shifting, braking and other skills to grow your confidence on the trail. You will also learn basic bike safety and trail assessment and etiquette. Before attending this class, you should be confident riding flat terrain and understand how to use your bike’s shifters and brakes. Class instruction will occur mainly on an open field, with some on-trail practice. With learning these skills, your comfort level and safety is guaranteed to improve! Keep us with the skills and verbiage your kids might be learning. More Skills=More FUN!

Required equipment for this class includes:
- A tuned mountain bike or fat bike
- Flat platform pedals and smooth soled shoes
- A helmet

-No bikes with drop handle bars or tires <2.2”

Notes: Participants must purchase or rent their own mountain bike and other necessary equipment, Endurance United does not supply participants with mountain bikes. All participants are required to wear a HELMET. A well maintained bike will give the best experience for this program. If you are needing help finding equipment or need some advice, let us know, maybe we can help! 
- Must have a minimum of 4 participants in order to hold this course. Program max participants is 6.
- This program is for participants ages 18+.

Christine England

Christine is a BICP (Bike Instructor Certified Program) and MCA (Minnesota Cyclying Association) certified instructor and has a true passion for mountain biking and coaching others to improve their skills.

Christine has always loved sports and the outdoors, After 25+ years in the business world, she has doubled-down on mountain biking, investing in her skills, certifications and coaching with the Loppet, Endurance United, DrtPdlrs and Middle/High School teams. Her passion is skills-based instruction, believing that more skills leads to more confidence, which leads to more fun! When not biking, she is a part-time Supply Chain Consultant, is working to improve her Nordic Skiing technique and spends far too much time baking. Christine lives in Minneapolis, has been married for 25 years and has a teenage daughter.
